The Mallett Brothers Band is an independent rock and roll / Americana / country band from Maine. With a style that ranges from alt-country to Americana, country, jam and roots rock, theirs is a musical melting pot that’s influenced equally by the singer/songwriter tradition as by harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds. Since High Planes’ start in 2016, the band has evolved from traditional bluegrass instrumentation to include an expanded lineup and a broadened repertoire that varies from beautiful, quiet finger-picked pieces to rolling country songs. Blending both female and male vocals, High Planes incorporates rich storytelling, autobiographical chronicles, and crisp harmonies that have been compared to The Civil Wars and Brown Bird.
