Origami Basics / The Folded Universe
11-1 PM // With Christmas and New Year round the corner, indulge in an afternoon of folded paper forms based on the Japanese art of paper folding – origami. Prepare festival decorations and gifts that are easy, quick and exciting! No prior experience required, all age groups welcome. // Santrupthy has been folding for the past 20 years and teaching the techniques to various audiences for 7 years. As a recent graduate from RISD, she aims to design programming around origami for interdisciplinary environments. She has worked with educational institutes, museums, hospitals and community art centres in India and the US. Her work revolves around building communities through the art of paper folding.
