It’s Just a Hill, and more local bike groups are proud to be answering the call from Angry Catfish and the Minneapolis cycling community in hosting a solidarity ride in honor of Alex Pretti, who was murdered while observing ICE. We will be joining bike groups/clubs/shops across the country on Saturday January 31 for a national day of action and unity.

We will be honoring and paying our respects to all lives that have been lost and affected by ICE, including families torn apart and lives lost in detention centers. We will be sharing local calls to action and encouraging riders to join the local and national fights against ICE. This is a vigil ride, and will be focused on respecting the tragedies and gathering in community. We hope to see friends, family, and neighbors there.

Bike groups from across RI are strongly encouraged to promote, recruit riders, and participate! Please contact me if you’d like to join.

It will be cold, so dress appropriately. The ride will be short, and the route will be designed for the safest conditions (i.e. on major streets that have been plowed). The ride will start at Burnside Park (meet at 1, roll out 1:30) and end at Moniker Brewery. More info coming soon.
