Open Valley: A Valley-wide celebration of Art, Culture, and Community
This May 2nd, 50 Sims and friends across Providence’s Valley neighborhood will open doors to host the inaugural Open Valley, a neighborhood-wide open studios initiative and celebration. This event will shine a spotlight on the incredible makers, artists, non-profits, and small businesses that call the Valley home. What’s in those old brick buildings? Come find out! Visitors can tour (self direct) former mill buildings, walk the Woonasquatucket River Greenway Bike Path, and visit contemporary studios, galleries, and arts spaces—while learning more about organizations like The Steel Yard, Teatro ECAS Theatre, Wilbury Theatre Group, Anyhow Studio, LitArts RI, 50 Sims, and more. Lighthouse Skate Park is also open for free during the event! You can also eat great snacks at Screaming Unicorn, New Harvest Coffee and Spirits, Buttonwoods Brewery, ISCO, and more!
