Baby Baby (Pvd), Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto, NYC), DJ Robert Rhymin’
Baby Baby is a pseudo concept, garage-pop, art-rock project made of three fweaky BFFS utilizing low-tech gear to make simple structured danceable songs. Miho Hatori is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and musician best known as a solo artist, co-founder of Cibo Matto (yeah!), and as the first person to provide the voice of Noodle in Gorillaz. Hatori—who creates a “composite sound that is detailed without ever getting bogged down (Pitchfork)—has worked with Beastie Boys, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and recently did sound design for John Kline’s show at The Whitney Museum. This is maybe her first ever solo gig in the area.
