“The Greenhouse” A Plant Opera
@ ALCO – Courtyard Stage // “The Greenhouse” is a song cycle in progress, performed recital-style. The setting: a queer party inside a greenhouse. Our characters: ladybugs, algae, big floppy jasmine plants, a lovelorn frog, violets, bad-but-trying-their-best gardeners, rambling mycologists, and lots of queer revelers. More experiential than narrative, these decentralized poetic observations from the world of flora are like growing, amorphous vines, exploring space rather than telling tales. This queer greenhouse revelry can’t happen without you, so wear a flower in your hair and join us and the plants.
