The Rent is Too Damn High! DARE rally and art build
This Friday, 4/26, the THA (Tenant and Homeowner Association, a branch of DARE) is holding a rally at 5pm at the carousel in Roger Williams Park (at the Food Truck Friday event). The goal is to connect with people who are out enjoying the park and build support for a rent stabilization bill that would limit rent increases to 4% annually, among other protections for renters. // There will be speakers, a signup to join the campaign, and ways to connect to free resources for people facing eviction or landlord disputes. // There will be a big gong to ring if the rent is too damn high. There will even be free face painting!
